These terms apply when you use Unhinged Arcade, a collection of free browser games run by the Unhinged Arcade team. By playing, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
1. Who can play
You must be at least 13 years old, or play with the permission and supervision of a parent or guardian.
2. Play safely
Several games ask you to move: running on the spot, jumping, stretching your arms out. Others ask you to use your face and eyes: holding a stare without blinking, pulling faces, watching the screen closely. You play at your own risk, and that includes any strain, discomfort or injury to your body or your eyes.
- Clear plenty of space around you, away from furniture, walls, stairs, pets and other people.
- Play on a non-slip floor, wear suitable footwear (or bare feet), and make sure your device is set up securely.
- Stop immediately if you feel pain, dizziness or shortness of breath. If you have a health condition, check with a doctor first.
- Look after your eyes: blink normally, take regular breaks from the screen, and don't force your eyes to stay open in games like Don't Blink. Stop if your eyes feel sore, dry, watery or strained, or your vision blurs. If you have an eye condition or wear contact lenses that make your eyes dry, take extra care.
- Children should be supervised by an adult.
Photosensitivity warning: some games use flashing colours, and some videos may contain flashing images. If you or anyone in your family has epilepsy or a history of seizures, consult a doctor before playing. Straight Face may show videos intended to be funny or scary. Choose the category you're comfortable with.
3. Your camera
Camera games need your permission to use your webcam. Tracking happens on your device and video is never uploaded; see the Privacy Policy. You can always play with the keyboard instead.
4. Leaderboards and nicknames
- Nicknames must not be offensive, hateful, sexual, impersonate someone else, or contain personal information like your full name, address or phone number.
- No cheating: don't submit scores you didn't earn by playing normally, use bots or scripted input, or tamper with the site's requests.
- We may remove any score or nickname, or reset leaderboards, at any time and without notice. Leaderboards are just for fun and come with no prizes or guarantees.
5. Acceptable use
Don't use Unhinged Arcade to:
- break the law or harm anyone;
- overload, scrape, probe or attack the site or its servers, or get around rate limits or security checks;
- copy, resell or rehost the games or artwork without permission.
6. Third-party content
Straight Face embeds videos from YouTube. Those videos belong to their creators, are governed by YouTube's Terms of Service, and may be removed or changed at any time. We aren't responsible for their content.
7. Our content
The games, code, illustrations and name of Unhinged Arcade belong to us or our licensors. You're welcome to share links, screenshots and your scores.
8. No warranty
Unhinged Arcade is provided free, "as is" and "as available". Body, face and hand tracking is approximate: it depends on your camera, lighting and device and won't always be accurate. We may change, pause or discontinue any game or feature at any time.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Unhinged Arcade team is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for injury or damage arising from your use of the site, including physical activity while playing and any injury, strain or discomfort to your eyes. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and continuing to play means you accept the updated terms.
